VTG Pair of Japanese Hand Carved Wooden Statues (7 Lucky Gods) Daikoku & Ebisu. Ebisu & Daikoku - 7 Lucky Gods. Pair of vintage Japanese hand carved wooden statues. They are Ebisu and Daikoku- they are part of the 7 Lucky Deities. These two are Gods of Good Fortune.

Ebisu - A familiar figure holding a sea bream in his left hand and a fishing rod in his right, this is the god of fishing, and is especially worshiped as the god of prosperous business. Daikoku - God who controls the earth (agriculture). He is commonly known for his hooded figure, carrying a large bag on his back, holding a hammer, and is worshiped as a god of wealth and good fortune.
