PAIR Antique CHINESE 19th c. Carved Hard WOOD Foo DOGS Lions FIGURINES Qing

A fabulous pair of antique Chinese 19th century carved hardwood foo dog figurines. The carved details on this heavy pair of antique Chinese foo dog figurines is quite extraordinary! The foo dogs have been heavily, deeply and intricately carved out of one piece of heavy wood including the stands, one dog holding a ribbon in its mouth and standing on a ball the other with a paw on a cute baby foo dog, both dogs with moving wood balls inside their mouths and inlaid glass eyes, the stands with wonderful scrolling decorations. The foo dogs measure approximately 7 inches high, 8 5/8 inches long and about 5 inches wide. The foo dogs are in general good condition with all over general wear.
