Magnificent pair of adults Art Deco carved walnut single beds 1930s Queen Anne

These are a very good pair of vintage single beds. They were probably made in the 1930s. The headboards and footboards are in very opulent burr and figured walnut.

Just look at the shape and sweep of the footboards! The footboards stand on very pretty shaped cabriole legs and just look at the quality of the'horns' which will frame the end of your mattress. The headboards are edged with crisp foliate carving mirrored in the carving to the scrolls on the footboards. The beds come with original side rails and I have supplied a roll of slats to run across the rails so all you will need are standard single mattresses three feet wide and 74 inches long. Old bed sizes vary to the size of modern mattresses.

These bases are 39 inches wide so they will happily take a modern single mattress of 36 inches wide with a little gap for the duvet to fall. The beds are in good vintage condition. The walnut is rich and polished and they look very opulent. Minor marks from usage as you would expect.

Minor scratch to one headboard - see last photo. The beds split for moving and are robust when built. The headboards are 55 nches high and the footboard are 27 inches high.
